Iceland Prime Contractor has signed a contractual agreement for the construction of a primary school in Reykjavík’s Stadir neighbourhood.  The project involves ground work, concrete work, and interior and exterior finishing of the one-storey school building, which will be 3,000 m² in size.  The building will be clad primarily with corrugated metal supplemented by visual concrete. 

Work began on 10 August. According to project plans, the initial construction team will consist of some 15 employees. The number of workers is expected to expand to around 60 at the peak of the project.   Project and construction manager is Árni Gudlaugsson,  and completion is scheduled for 1 August 2005.
