The departure hall at Leifur Eiriksson International Airport

New layout and modifications to the departure hall at Leifur Eiriksson International Airport, Keflavík, Iceland.

The new layout is designed to meet the needs of new shop and restaurant operators that will commence operations first half 2015.

Included in the scope is to replace big sections of earlier flooring material and interior walls, repaint all of the ceiling in the hall and redecorate the visible part of the balcony above the hall with illuminated panels covering the entire length of the balcony.

Modifications to electrical systems, piping and HVAC will accommodate for the needs of new operators,  kitchens and restaurant outlets.

Among the biggest challenges is to minimize the disturbance to regular operations in the hall and allow for undisturbed flow of and service to passengers leaving Iceland during the entire span of the project.
