Flight simulator building

IAV signed a contract with Iceeignir ehf, subsidiary of Icelandair, in March 2014, to construct in Hafnafjordur town 750 m2 12 m high structural steel building  for Icelandair new flight simulator and their emergency rescue equipment.

The structural steel building is founded on cast in place concrete foundations. The building foundation is anchored down with 12 each anchor rods to the bedrock. The exterior wall system consist of prefabricated rock wool insulated panels and concrete panels.

The roof assembly consist of rock wool insulation and  PVC membrane. The earthwork for the building and related underground utilizes and the grounding system is also part of IAV contract.
