Community swimming pool

Earth and concrete work and a total completion of the building and the surroundings and the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, hot tubs and the connected mechanical systems. The building has a cladding of Trespa plates.

The building sits high at the end of the river valley Ellidaárdalur with a view over the valley.

The building consists of two wings that accommodate the male and female dressing rooms as well as outdoor dressing rooms. The two wings are connected with a glass dome. Under the dome there is the reception desk and an indoor swimming pool with the possibility to swim from it to the outdoor pool. Hot tubs at a different temperature are in the pool garden as well as a sitting pool and a water slide.

The outdoor pool is 12, 5 x 25 m and is fully tiled as well as other pools and hot tubs.

By the pool stands a surveillance tower. From the pool garden there is an access to dry and wet saunas.
