Nursing home in Reykjanes

The building is 4.000 m2 of floors and three stories high.  The work commenced in October 2012 and was finished in November 2013, except for few items that was withhold by the buyer, which were finished in February 2014.

The construction consisted of:  Structural work of the building above bottom slab.  Finish of the outside facade including windows and doors and roof finishing.   The structural systems consist of concrete walls, beams, columns and slabs.  The building is three floor levels with concrete roofs.   The building is isolated from outside and covered with ceramic tiles fastened by aluminum structural system to the concrete wall.  Roof is a variation of an upside/down construction.  The dewatering slope of the roof is made of mineral wool rested on the flat concrete slab on the top of that comes two layers of asphalt sheet, then XPS isolation and concrete tiles.
