Two of IAV's projects nominated to Mies van der Rohe award.

Two projects from Iceland are among the 365 projects that have been nominated to the Mies van der Rohe prize, the prize is awarded for contemporary architecture.

The two Icelandic projects that are nominated are: Prison at Hómsheiði, architects Arkís and Expansion of the Air terminal Leifur Eiriksson, architects Andersen & Sigurdsson Arkitekter and Teikn Architects.

We can be proud of these nominations since we built both prison and enlarged the terminal!

Here is a link to the contest itself. Here's the nomination for the prison and here the airport and to the site of the Icelandic Architect Association.
