Bolungarvík tunnel
Ósafl, a subsidiary of Iceland Prime Contractor (IPC) and the Swiss company Marti Contractors, is handling the construction of the Bolungarvík tunnel for the Iceland Road Administration. Ósafl submitted the lowest bid for the job, with a tender amount of just below ISK 3.5 billion. The project includes the construction of a tunnel 8.7 metres wide and 5.1 km long, a concrete portal structure 310 metres in length, 3 km of roads, and two concrete bridges spanning the Hnífsdalsá and Ósá rivers.
