IAV and MARTI offer for Solbakk tunnel accepted
Norwegian Public Roads (Statens vegvesen) has confirmed that IAV and MARTI joint bid in Solbakk tunnel has been accepted. According to Norwegian regulations protest time starts from this date, other bidders have until April 28th to protest the decision of the NPR.
The project consists of first phase of three of Solbakk tunnel which will lie under the sea just off Stavanger. Solbakk tunnel will be the longest road tunnel under sea in the world for cars, the total length of the tunnel will be 14 km. Construction of first phase allows for two parallel tunnel that will be 8 km long. Eight company´s participated in the tender phase, IAV and MARTI offer was 1,312,631,310. NOK- Without VAT.
Construction on this phase will begin late summer 2013 and consist until mid-year 2018.
