New N1 filling station at Bíldshöfdi Cape
Iceland Prime Contractor is currently engaged in the construction of a new filling station for N1.
The project involves a substantial enlargement of the lot and the construction of two buildings on the site where N1 has operated a filling station. One of the buildings will be a 515-m2 service centre comparable to those the Company has built for N1 in Fossvogur, on Hringbraut Boulevard, on Borgartún Street, and in the Reykjavík suburb of Mosfellsbaer. The second building will be a 500-m2 tyre and lubrication workshop with a tyre storage warehouse in the basement.
Methane fuel service areas will be improved and an increased number of methane pumps installed on the pumping islands. A methane pipe from the Álfsnes peninsula area will be connected to the station, which will serve as a supply station. The station will also be used as a filling station for methane shipping containers. The new filling station will be brought into use in early July 2008.
