The half-century mark
It doesn't happen every day that a person can celebrate having worked for the same employer for 50 years. But IPC employee Bragi Hansson celebrated his Golden Anniversary on 8 April 2008.
Bragi has a rich storehouse of memories from the Company's operations and has participated in the many changes that have taken place over the years. For the first forty years or so, the Company's activities were centred at Keflavík Airport, with the bulk of the work carried out for a single customer. During that period, Bragi was the "face" of the Company in the greater Reykjavík area – and actually, as far as a large proportion of suppliers and customers were concerned, the only visible part of Company operations.
Bragi has held several positions with IPC during his tenure with the Company. He began as manager of the Reykjavík office and carried out accounting and bookkeeping duties as well. Thereafter he became a purchasing representative and handled external business for the head offices and senior management.
To commemorate his fiftieth anniversary of employment with Iceland Prime Contractor, Bragi travelled to Bolungarvík, where IPC and Marti Contractors signed an agreement with the Icelandic Road Administration concerning the construction of the Bolungarvík tunnel.
Iceland Prime Contractor wishes to thank Bragi for 50 years of excellent work and for his exemplary loyalty to the Company.
